Alex Guichard is the Head of Marketing at Retym. A startup junkie at heart, he has served multiple roles in R&D, Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, Product Management and Product Marketing. He loves taking companies and products from 0 to 1+.

Prior to joining Retym, Alex was Vice President of Product at Phononic, where he was instrumental in growing the Optoelectronics business segment from launch to 19 straight quarters of revenue growth, as well as evaluating and moving the company into other markets. He has also worked at early stage and growth stage companies in the solar photovoltaic and LED lighting industries, releasing new products and improving unit economics of existing products.

Alex received his PhD from Stanford University and bachelor’s degree from NC State University, both in Materials Science and Engineering.
